Primarily due to its resistance to high pressures and temperatures, the success of Copaltite on turbines has extended its applications to many areas. Copaltite is widely used on pumps, valve seats, flanges, boiler manhole and handhold covers, condensers and hydraulic systems. Industries such as oil, steel, pulp and paper, heavy equipment, aviation, automotive, chemical and marine have long used Copaltite to solve many of their daily maintenance problems.

Petrochemical companies have used this product on steam joints at 200 psi and 1200°F successfully. The effective and economical operation of turbines and auxiliaries, subject to high pressures and extreme temperatures, depends largely on the security of all joints. The loss of pressure or compression through leaky connections is wasteful and unnecessary, and Copaltite is the perfect sealing agent for joints and main body flanges of turbines.

Power stations nation wide have reported that Copaltite has successfully held even badly warped turbine joints after other method failed, and at a tremendous savings. One case reports that one dollar and eighty cents worth of Copaltite sealed a turbine unit after thousands had been spent unsuccessfully.

The marine industry has used Copaltite for many years and it completely meets Navy test requirement for use on marine turbines at 1200 psi and 950°F (MIL-S-15204D). Copaltite can handle the high pressures and temperatures found on steam driven power plants at sea. Shipbuilders and many steamship operators demand only the use of Copaltite in their repair and general maintenance operations. The benefits of Copaltite have been proven through use at shipyards and sealing joints holding 7,500 pounds air pressure.
